Sheraz has a strong track record as a dispute resolver and takes ad
hoc appointments by party agreements and from appointing bodies in Europe and
Central East Asia. He appears before local, regional and international
arbitration centres including the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the London
Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Dubai International Financial
Centre (DIFC), and the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). He is affiliated
with and serves on the panels of a number of reputable international organizations
such as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Specializing in commercial disputes, Sheraz has successfully resolved
hundreds of construction, energy and power sector disputes through alternative
dispute resolution methods in Pakistan and the UK, and has further expanded his

Sheraz is an experienced arbitrator who has appeared as an arbitrator in seventy (70) two-party and multi-party arbitrations. During the past 10 years, he has successfully resolved a broad spectrum of legal matters pertaining to construction, energy, power, property, and oil & gas. Notably, these parties involve a few public bodies with disputes of up to about £10 million and projects of up to about £100 million.
He has appeared as a mediator on in excess of sixty (60) construction and other disputes involving both two and multi parties, some involving public bodies, and claims up to about £5 million:
Sheraz has successfully ensured the enforcement of ICC awards before the English Courts. During the Covid-19 breakout, he actively appeared as an arbitrator in jurisdictions such as UAE and Qatar, assisting his clients towards swift resolution in such challenging times as an adaptive arbitrator.
Sheraz is an experienced arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator who regularly receives appointments by party agreement and from bodies such as the ICC (sole arbitrator and president), LCIA (sole, presiding and wing arbitrator), FIDIC, Engineer’s Ireland, the CIArb, RICS and RIBA. Sheraz has been invited by ICDR (American Arbitration Association) to chair a tribunal, but had to decline, for personal reasons.
Sheraz has also acted as an adjudicator in about 300 construction disputes involving claims up to about £15 million and projects up to about £100 million. He was particularly quoted in the following citation “The adjudicator decided, in what both parties accepted was a thorough and well-reasoned decision, …. that the defendant had to pay the claimant the sums for which I have given summary judgment.” Knight v.
